Research Ethics · In Preparation
How We Handle Uncertainty.
The Institute's research posture is intentionally cautious during its founding phase. This statement explains what that means in practice for essays, methods and the experimental Directional Assessment.
Standard
Claims growing no faster than evidence.
We publish only what we can defend at the level of confidence we ascribe to it. Where a claim is framework-level, we say so. Where it is empirical, we cite the source. Where it is provisional, we mark it. Where we do not know, we say we do not know.
The Directional Assessment
An experimental research preview.
What it is
A structured inquiry that outputs a directional architecture — a shape of tendencies — from the framework of the Nested Vessels of Life. It is a research tool used to refine the framework, not a diagnostic instrument.
What it is not
It is not medical, psychological or psychiatric assessment. It does not diagnose disease, disorder, deficiency or condition. It is not a substitute for consultation with qualified practitioners.
Records and retention
Responses are stored as anonymous research records without an account. Records are not intended as shareable links, are subject to pruning, and are used only for internal refinement of the framework. Persistent, cross-device history will require an account and formal consent when introduced.
Advisory oversight
Named scientific and ethical advisers for the assessment programme are being appointed. Their names, affiliations and terms of reference will be published on the Founder & Stewardship page as appointments are confirmed.
Withdrawal
You may ask us to remove a record.
If you have submitted a Directional Assessment and wish the record removed, write to inquiries@the-elysian-institute.eu with the record identifier from your browser session and we will delete it.
