The Gardens · Phase I in Development

The Living Laboratory of the Institute

The Elysian Gardens are being formed in the Serra da Estrela as the Institute's living laboratory — a place where framework becomes soil, stone, water, food, silence, hospitality and shared time. What can be described with certainty is described here; what is still being designed is named as such.

Phase I canon

What is being built.

Nine earthen villas

Phase I is envisioned around nine principal earthen villas — with an owner's residence and shared facilities in addition. Materials, plans and stewardship are being formed with local artisans, ecologists and architects.

Regenerative land

Water, soil, biodiversity, forest, orchards, gardens and cultivated silence are treated as the primary infrastructure — not as backdrop.

A home for the framework

The Gardens will host formations, quiet stays and studied convocations grounded in the Institute's principles and practical curriculum.

Relation to the Institute

Two doors, one work.

The Institute is the framework, publications and formation. The Gardens are the living setting in which the framework can be practised, tested, refined and shared. Neither is a decorative wing of the other; each protects and completes the other.
"Aldeia Nova do Cabo, Serra da Estrela — a real place, being formed with care over time."

Hospitality

Not a resort. Not a wellness venue.

Future hospitality at the Gardens will be structured around formation, quiet, seasonal rhythm and continuity — not luxury signalling, not spa language and not interchangeable retreat modalities. Detailed information, terms and openings will be published on the Gardens site as each is ready.
