Privacy Notice
This notice explains how The Elysian Institute collects, uses and safeguards personal information provided through this website. A full, legally reviewed notice is being prepared; the summary below describes current practice.
Data controller
Who is responsible.
The Elysian Institute (in formation), Aldeia Nova do Cabo, Fundão, Central Portugal. Correspondence: inquiries@the-elysian-institute.eu.
What is collected and why
Minimum data, clear purpose.
Contact enquiries
When you submit the contact form, we store the name, email address, country and city, affiliation, message and any dates or preferences you provide. The purpose is to reply to your enquiry and, where relevant, to maintain a record of correspondence.
Newsletter
If you opt in to receive Letters from the Institute, we store your email address and consent record. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every message.
Directional Assessment (research preview)
Responses submitted through the experimental Directional Assessment are stored as anonymous research records. They are not tied to an account, are used only for internal research and refinement of the framework, and are subject to pruning.
Technical logs
Standard server logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) are retained briefly for security and operational purposes.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion.
Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, to restrict processing, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your national data-protection authority. Write to inquiries@the-elysian-institute.eu and we will respond within one month.
Data protection contact
During the founding phase the Institute has not yet appointed a formal Data Protection Officer. Data-protection correspondence should be addressed to inquiries@the-elysian-institute.eu (subject line: Data protection) and is handled under the Founder's stewardship. A named DPO will be listed here if and when appointment is required.
Retention
Contact enquiries are retained for as long as needed to conclude correspondence and, where relevant, to keep an accurate record of a stay or programme. Newsletter records are kept for as long as the subscription is active plus a short archival window. Assessment research records are pruned on a rolling basis.
Sharing
Processors, not brokers.
We use a small number of technical processors to operate the site, database and email delivery. We do not sell personal data, do not share it with advertising networks and do not use it for behavioural profiling. A named list of processors will be published as part of the full notice.
